Flying Site

The club's flying site is known as Viera R/C Park. It has 50' x 475' East-West and 50' x 500' North-South grass runways located to the northwest of the I-95 and Wickham Road interchange, Exit 191 (Old Exit 73) and just east of the Viera Government complex (see map below).   Turn West off of I-95 (left if coming from the south, right if coming from the north).  Go 0.2 miles and turn right on Lake Andrew Drive.  Go 1.6 miles and turn left into the county government building parking lot.  The entrance to the field is at the southeast corner of the parking lot.  GPS coordinates are N28d14.8m x W80d43.9m

Academy of Model Aeronautics membership is mandatory for all pilots.

This site is open to the public and visitors, both flying and non-flying, are always welcomed. The field is always available for use except when a Club event is being held. Visitors wishing to fly as a guest must show a current AMA membership card, be sponsored by a member and receive information as to our General/Safety Rules and "No Fly Zone". Weekday flying is usually in the early morning and late afternoon hours. Flying on the weekends is almost continuous from sun up to sundown.
