The Indian River Kontrol Society of Brevard County, Florida is pleased to announce one of the best electric flight events in the south, the Southeastern Electric Aircraft Rally (SEAR).

SEAR is an open flying event, which is held at our new IRKS Flying Site. Our field features a 700 ft. grass runway for large aircraft and a 400 ft. by 200 ft. grass area for Foamie/Park Flyers and helicopters. This arrangement provides plenty of pit area, parking and open skies.

You should expect to see all aspects of electric flight: 3D, scale, sport planes, park flyers, gliders, pylon, ducted fan, helicopters, etc. So, if it is powered by an electric motor and flies please bring it.

Our sponsors/vendors will be exhibiting and conducting demo’s of their products. There will be hourly raffles of prizes they have been donated to the event by our many sponsors.

There were several ideas for creating this event. The first is to promote electric powered flight.  Second was to give modelers another opportunity to get together and share their experiences and knowledge of electric flight as well as have a great time.  We hope that you’ll come join us!
